Adelaide Oduro Asante is a smart and optimistic lady, who has the ability to confidently apply the knowledge she has acquired over the years to handle projects and follow through to a successful end. She has a strong writing and speaking communication skills.

She acquired her first degree in Sociology and Social Work from KNUST, Kumasi. Some of the courses she took in order to fulfill the degree requirements were, Medical Sociology, Gender and development, Human Resource Management, Social Psychology among others. She had her Master’s degree in Business Decision Management which was awarded by Coventry University, UK. As part of her Master’s degree, she took courses in Business Simulation, Knowledge Management, Mobile Commerce, Financial Analysis for Managers, Logistics Management, Decision Support Systems and Lean Operations.

Adelaide worked with Ghana Airports Company Ltd for a year as a Terminal Officer. Shortly afterwards, She had the opportunity to work with Ghana Technology University College (GTUC) in 2009. At GTUC, she has been working as an administrator in various departments. One of the departments was the Centre for Professional Development (CPD). Her main responsibility among others, at CPD was to organize professional courses. In doing so she had the responsibility of planning and executing all the administrative activities that will lead to a successful programme. Adelaide is currently the Assistant Registrar of the Faculty of Informatics at GTUC. With this position, she has the responsibility of overseeing all administrative activities of the Faculty and as well offer academic support to Faculty.

She has had professional trainings in Exceptional Customer Care with two credible institutions and also Business Development Executive training offered by a UK based organization. Her research interest is in areas related to Work/Life Balance and Gender and Development.
